RENT a kayak or Electric boat for the day and cruise the harbors 

                            
SAIL OR CRUISE your boat or go on a charter to the Channel Islands or just along the shore
CRUISE to the Islands and anchor overnight
RACE in a sailing race, many scheduled in both harbors by
several yacht clubs
WATCH or SUPPORT a sailing race
JOIN a sailing club such as Marina Sailing or Offshore Islands Sailing Clubs

 
TALL SHIP VISITS: Tour or sail on a classic ship. Cruise on the Tall Ships that visit Channels Islands and Ventura harbors each year. A Tall Ship, at the right,  docks in Channel Islands Harbor and offers tours and sailings.

SURF, WINDSURF, KITE SURF the waves at several points along to coast.

FISH  on your boat or on one of the harbor's charters
DIVE OR SNORKLE at the islands from your boat or from a charter boat
 

 

PICNIC at the beach on the sand or at Oxnard Beach Park, Peninsula Park, Marina Park or Ventura State Beach
FLY a kite at the beach
HIKE in the local hills, or on the islands by permit
BIKE on many bike paths in the marina areas and in bike lanes along many local roads

JOIN  a Yacht Club: Channel Islands Harbor has four Clubs: Anacapa Yacht Club, Channel Islands Yacht Club, Harbour Islands Yacht Club and Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club.
JOIN Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club (PCYC), pictured below,  which is the only Full Service yacht Club between Santa Monica and San Francisco.  PCYC offers social and boating activities (but you don't have to own a boat) and a restaurant, second floor bar with views, a pool and spa and dock. You also have reciprocal priviledges with yacht clubs around the world.

BRUNCH on Sundays at local restaurants or as a member at PCYC

 

SUPPORT THE BOATING INSTRUCTION AND SAFETY CENTER (BISC) which breaks ground this year

VISIT OR BE A DOCENT at the Ventura County Maritime Museum  (805-984-6260)



VISIT the Channel Islands National Park in Ventura Harbor

WATCH the sunset at the beach or harbor
