 HOLLYWOOD BEACH,

Hollywood Beach is a small beach area with a sandy beach facing the entry to
the Channel Islands Harbor. It is accessed by South Harbor Blvd, which is a
left turn after the bridge going west on Channel Islands Blvd. It is located between the west side of the
marina main channel and offers easy access to harbor restaurants and shops.
This community is in the County of Ventura, rather than the City of Oxnard.
In addition to oceanfront homes, there are two streets of homes that are
close to the beach and some offer ocean or marina views. This beach is
particularly popular since it is the smallest beach community in Oxnard. The
lot sizes are generally 35'x'75'. This beach was once home to Clark Gable,
and Rudie Valentino and early movies were shot on the beach. Windy Gables
has been remodeled and Casa Valentino is still on the beach. Prior to
the opening of the Channel Islands Harbor in the 1960s, this beach was
connected to Silverstrand Beach.
There is also a condo complex, Harbor Walk, which includes a pool, tennis
courts, RV storage and a community building.
